Instructions
- Prepare the Mushrooms: Clean and slice the mushrooms evenly. Sauté them in butter over medium heat until golden and tender, allowing their earthy aroma to develop fully.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add finely chopped shallots or onions and minced garlic to the mushrooms. Cook until fragrant and translucent, stirring frequently to prevent browning.
- Build the Creamy Base: Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently. Let it simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly and thicken, creating a smooth sauce foundation.
- Add Parmesan and Season: Remove the pan from heat and stir in freshly grated Parmesan until melted and fully incorporated. Season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and fresh herbs like thyme or parsley.
- Finish and Serve: Toss cooked ravioli gently in the sauce or spoon the creamy mushroom mixture over the top. Garnish with extra Parmesan or herbs as desired.

- Use fresh Parmesan grated from a block for best flavor and melting texture.
- Do not overcrowd the pan when sautéing mushrooms to get a golden sear instead of steaming.
