Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess fat. Meanwhile, chop the onion and mince the garlic to prepare for layering in the slow cooker.
- Layer Everything in the Slow Cooker: Add the cooked ground beef to the bottom of the slow cooker, then layer with drained beans, corn kernels, diced tomatoes or tomato sauce, chopped onions, minced garlic, and then sprinkle chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper evenly on top. This layering helps flavors meld during cooking.
- Cook Low and Slow: Cover and set the slow cooker to low. Cook for 6 to 8 hours to allow the ingredients to fully combine into a rich, hearty casserole. Alternatively, use the high setting and cook for 3 to 4 hours if short on time.
