These no-bake, bite-sized treats are perfect for on-the-go snacking, gym sessions, or as a healthy indulgence with balanced nutrition and versatile flavor options.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes (including chilling)
  • Yield: 12 to 15 protein balls 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, washed and finely chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup oats or almond flour
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Additions

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (for fiber and omega-3s)
  • Chopped nuts or seeds (for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp spirulina or matcha powder (for antioxidant boost)
  • Melted dark chocolate (for drizzle/garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Wash and finely chop fresh strawberries, then soften the cream cheese so it’s easier to mix. Measure out your dry ingredients including protein powder and oats or almond flour.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy to create the cheesecake base.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the vanilla protein powder, oats or almond flour, and any optional seeds or powders you’re adding to prepare the binding agents and texture.
  4. Incorporate Strawberries: Gently fold the chopped strawberries into the wet mixture, taking care to not mash them, so bursts of fruity flavor remain.
  5. Combine and Form Balls: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet strawberry-cheesecake mixture and stir until a uniform dough forms that can be rolled easily. Using your hands, roll the mixture into bite-sized balls.
  6. Chill and Enjoy: Place the formed protein balls onto a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set. Once firm, enjoy or store for later snacking.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor; frozen strawberries can be used if thawed and drained well.
  • Mix gently to maintain a light texture and prevent mushiness.
  • Refrigerate the balls to help them hold shape and firm up.
  • Adjust sweetness by tasting the mixture before rolling and adding more honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Store in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Protein balls are best enjoyed cold or at room temperature; avoid microwaving to maintain texture.
