Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: Finely chop mushrooms, spinach, onions, and garlic. Sauté the onions and garlic in butter or olive oil until translucent. Add mushrooms and cook until tender and moisture evaporates. Stir in spinach last and cook just until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mix in cream cheese and parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Roll Out and Cut Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry gently to smooth out creases and thin slightly. Cut the pastry into small squares about 3 inches each, suitable for bite-sized portions.
  3. Assemble the Pastry Bites: Place a spoonful of the mushroom and spinach filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the edges over to seal, forming neat packages or triangles. Press the edges with a fork to secure and prevent leaks during baking.
